[Eeglablist] Energy calculations

Dear all,

I am V.Srinivasan, working in the area of epileptic
detection.

I have a small doubt about the term Energy used in the
power spectrum calculations.

Is it 
 
  Energy = Summation(Power)in the frequency band
                        divided by
              summation(frequency components) in the  
                     frequency band

  or

Is it 

   Energy = Summation(Power)in the frequency band
                        divided by
               Number of frequency components in the  
                   frequency band 


kindly help me with your suggestion regarding the term
energy.
