[Eeglablist] average reference

There has been lots of discussion lately on this list
about average reference.  The following paper may be of
interest:

Ferree TC.  Spherical splines and average referencing in scalp 
electroencephalograpy. 
Brain Topography 19(1-2): 43-52.

It treats the issues of scalp voltage measurement and
referencing in detail.  It does not really address
dipole fitting, except for a brief closing comment.
