2 Research Study Assistant Positions at University of Washington Autism 
Center

The laboratory of Dr. Sara Webb and Dr. Raphael Bernier is hiring 2 
full time Research Study Assistants to conduct studies of EEG/ERP and 
behavioral measures of social cognition in individuals with Autism and 
Fragile X Syndrome. RSAs assist in testing of subjects and collection 
of data using the high density EGI system for 3 projects including a 
study of risk markers in younger siblings of children with autism, the 
shared neurobiology of Autism and Fragile X, and neural correlates of 
imitation and action in Autism.  Please visit

Responsibilities include: (1) Assisting in testing of infants, 
children, and adults during EEG/ERP protocols, habituation and looking 
time experiments, imitation tasks, and standardized measures; (2) 
Assisting in development of EEG/ERP experiments, including stimulus 
preparation; (3) Reporting and tracking data collection; (4) Data 
analysis; (5) Supervision of undergraduates and volunteers; (6) 
Assisting in preparation of presentations, manuscripts and grants; (7) 
General office duties.

Requirements include: (1) B.S. or B.A. in psychology, neuroscience or 
related field; interest or emphasis in development, psychopathology, 
and cognitive neuroscience. (2) Experience working with children or 
individuals with developmental disorders. (3) Strong computer skills; 
(4) Excellent interpersonal skills. Additional desirable skills 
include: Knowledge of SPSS, Photoshop, or EPrime; Experience with 
psychophysiology or other type of psychology research. A minimum of 1-2 
years commitment is required.
