[Eeglablist] Research Associate position in the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience

*Research Associate *Applications are invited for a full-time post-doctoral
position in the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College
London. The successful candidate will collaborate with Dr Leun Otten on a
project funded by the Wellcome Trust on the cognitive neuroscience of human
long-term memory. The project uses scalp-recorded electrical brain activity
to understand how neural activity before an event influences memory
formation.

Applicants must have a PhD in psychology or a related field and must have a
strong interest in memory and neuroimaging. Prior experience with EEG
(especially event-related potentials) and running experiments with human
participants is highly desirable. However, applications from individuals
with a background in memory research and a dedication and desire to learn
EEG quickly are also welcome. You must have an excellent academic record, be
well-organized, and have outstanding clerical, interpersonal, and computer
skills. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.


The successful candidate will be based at UCL's Institute of Cognitive
Neuroscience, a renowned interdisciplinary research centre in central London
that offers a vibrant research environment with excellent links to the many
surrounding institutes and universities ( www.icn.ucl.ac.uk ).

The post is available immediately with funding available for up to three
years. Latest possible start date is 1 June 2009. Salary is on the UCL
salary Grade 7 ranging from £28,839 per annum to £35,469 per annum (plus
