[Eeglablist] Phantom oscillations PCA

Hello!
Have anyone discussed this recent paper on artifactual oscillations in PCA-components in an EEG context? Phantom oscillations arise due to smoothness of data, such as in a time series with some autocorrelation. 

Would these effects apply to ICA as well?
