[Eeglablist] Computing spectral frequency using the Welch method (Hamming window)

Hello Eeglab users,

I'm having some issues with computing the spectral frequencies of the
different trials within my EEG datasets. I'm planning on using sLORETA to
locate the source of the brain rhythms related to my task, but before I
input the data into the program I want to correctly process it.

Looking at published articles, I've seen that people compute the
trial-by-trial spectral frequency content using the Welch method (Hamming
window) and then make a separate average for each condition. How is this
done in Eeglab (Matlab) using the EEG dataset (.set) files I am currently
working with? I understand that a script has to be used, but since I am an
Eeglab and Matlab newbie, I don't know how to specify the procedures on my
data-files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ricardo
