[Eeglablist] no event, time-frequency, coherence phase!

Hi:
eeg users experts
I run into a problem, I have imported the bdf data format into the eeglab gui,but when i want to analysize the diffent channel of phase,time-frequency and coherence,it doesn't work,then I must have to export the epochs,but it can't extract the epochs because my data set is not including the events.
so how to do it? it is very tough problems
