[Eeglablist] EEG processing

Im using a Biosemi device for EEG processing , and i believe the data is recorded raw with reference to CMS. If i import  the file and take all the unused signals out im left with 134 channel, 128 EEG, 4EOG , 2 EMG. My question is that if i change the reference point at this point , and use avg reference, does it include the 6 extra channels when computing avg reference or only those labeled as EEG.
