Mr.Michael Simon,
You can first try this existing Matlab application for computing and
plotting FFT of live sound (or speaker's voice) in real-time. Just plug the microphone into your PC and type in Matlab >>demoai_fft and speak. This application uses DAQ toolbox and winsound adaptor for interfacing with your PC's sound card. You can also see and edit this application demoai_fft.m in toolbox\daq\daqdemos.
EEGlab can separate EOG signals, so this main eeglab m-file needs to be slightly modified, so as to include DAQ adaptor, say nidaq, for interfacing with NI DAQ card on EEG recording device. Also start/stop button needs to be added.
Since eeglab.m is big and complex to modify, there is another alternative; you can download EOG correction GUI application from Matlab Central. Just type RAAA EOG correction in Matlab Central search box. It has 2 GUI files main.m and main.fig, and you can try to modify them, so to include DAQ toolbox functions, nidaq adaptor and start/stop button.
regards,
I. Jaganjac

Today's Topics:
1. online EOG removal (Michael Simon)
Hello eeglablist,
we are currently working on a monitoring system, t=at extracts features from the EEG in real time. Unfortunately ocular artif=cts contaminate these features. So it would be desirable to eliminate thes= artifacts in real time. We are recording EOG channels (vertical and horiz=ntal).
Does anybody know methods that perform EOG removal in real time? It would b= best if no baseline recording is required and the removal would be in an =utomated manner.
Regards
Michael
