established Auditory Neuroscience Lab at The Ohio State University Eye and
Ear Institute. Description of the ad below.

Ad description:

Research Associate 1-B/H (Job Opening 347519) - participates in planning,
developing and overseeing the daily activities of research projects in the
Auditory Neuroscience lab in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and
Neck Surgery; collaborates with principal investigators in planning and
developing new projects; participates in development and implementation of
new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques; collaborates with
Principal Investigator in development of research goals; plans, designs and
conducts behavioral, Electroencephalography (EEG) and Functional Magnetic
Resonance (fMRI) experiments; collects and compiles data; conducts complex
and in-depth analysis of data; interprets and evaluates research results;
collaborates with principal investigator to write manuscripts, articles,
abstracts and research reports for publication and presentation;
collaborates with principal investigator to manage overall operations of
laboratory; participates in developing, implementing and maintaining an
experimental protocol database; reviews, monitors, and ensures integrity of
research data; conducts critical analysis of research literature to
determine current and/or new trends and methods related to research being
conducted; coordinates all aspects of subject recruitment and interviewing;
prepares documents related to Institutional Review Board (IRB); participates
in activities to ensure compliance with all federal and funding research
sponsor regulations; attends and presents research results at national and
international scientific conferences, seminars and workshops; Some weekend
work required

*Education and Experience*

Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic and/or practical knowledge in
the conduct of biological/health science research is required; experience in
a biological/health science research capacity is preferred; experience
working with early elementary school aged children preferred; computer
knowledge and experience required; knowledge of basic lab procedures or
knowledge of conducting behavioral, EEG and fMRI testing highly desired
