Have you got the 32-bit option ticked in the import box?

Subject: [Eeglablist] Importing *.CNT and *.EEG files into eeglab -
scalingissues ?
Hi all,
we have been trying to do some analysis on 64-channel SynAmp2 Neuroscan
auditory oddball data in EEGLAB. First we tried to import the .CNT files
and it looked like everything was working ok, but we discovered that the
scaling was off because when we tried to filter & artrej the data would
go missing. For e.g we tried "channel scroll" and there was no data to
view.
We tried to import the *.EEG files instead and these epoched files
looked different than they did in the Neuroscan EDIT software. We find
that the latencies and amplitudes of the peaks are different than when
the same data is averaged in EDIT.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem or are we doing something
wrong? Any help would be great,
thanks a lot
Deirdre
