Electrophysiological Endophenotypes in Autism

Postdoctoral Position available at the Autism Research Programs at the  
University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Research Institute  
(Seattle, Washington).

The University of Washington & Seattle Children’s Research Institute  
bring together scientists from several different disciplines who are  
working collaboratively to discover the genetic cause of autism and
the factors that impact outcome for children with this disorder. As a  
part of this effort, our lab utilizes electrical (endo)phenotypes with  
applications in clinical practice. For more information about the lab

The Fellow is expected to contribute to study design, data collection,  
data analysis, training and supervision of research assistants, co- 
authoring or leading publications, and the dissemination of findings.

Post-doctoral position (for up to 2 years) to examine broader  
phenotype characteristics of parents of children with autism and  
infants at-risk for autism.  This project uses EEG/ERP and behavioral  
methodology to study social attention in 1st degree relatives of  
individuals with autism as part of the UW Autism Center
of Excellence. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in  
developmental or cognitive psychology with experience in  
electrophysiology and an interest in clinical neuroscience.
