Dear EEGLAB community,

we are pleased to announce the release of BCILAB 1.0, a MATLAB-based
toolbox for research in Brain-Computer Interfaces and cognitive monitoring
/ cognitive state assessment.
The download is located at ftp://sccn.ucsd.edu/pub/bcilab. Please have a
look at the included release notes to get started.

This release fixes bugs that were reported for the previous 1.0 beta. Also,
some new GUIs, a BrainProducts plugin provided by the MITRE Corporation, a
better cluster workflow as well as standalone builds of the toolbox have
been included. Notes for Windows users: Try to unzip the archive with a
fast program (e.g., 7-zip) instead of the OS tool unless you're willing to
wait for a long time. Also, there is almost no point in trying to do actual
data analysis on a 32-bit Windows since it has only max 3GB of memory
available (unless you are working with tiny data or are just doing online
processing).

As always, if you have a bug report please do not hesitate to email me (or
the list) to get it fixed as soon as possible.
Also, since the toolbox is biased towards advanced research, please let us
know if there are areas where things are not as easy to comprehend as they
should be (i.e., you're running into a brick wall trying to understand one
or another feature).

Best,
Christian
