Hi Smitha,
Try with following example:
zz=hfd(EEG.data(1:20,500:5000),5),

where zz- Higuichi coefficient,
EEG.data(1:20,500:5000) is X in --hfd(X,kmax) - EEG.data is loaded eeg
data in my example channels from 1 to 20 with observation from 500 to
5000 points,
5 is default value of kmax - you may try using another values.
