The Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors (IfADo), Dortmund,
Germany, invites applications for a PhD student/doctoral candidate in the field of Cognitive
Ergonomics.

The Leibniz Research Centre for Working Environment and Human Factors (IfADo) investigates
potentials and risks of modern work on the basis of behavioral and life sciences. The results
lead to principles of beneficial and healthy design of the working environment.

The half time position starts earliest at January 01, 2013 and is up to three years according to
German temporary employment laws. Salary is according to the German TV-L system (1/2 TV-L E 13).

The candidate will work in the project group "Perceptual cybernetics" which is led by Edmund
Wascher.

The primary research methods are psychophysics, ERPs, fMRI and oculography. Candidates must have
a university degree (Diplom or Master) in Psychology or in a comparable profession, e.g. Ergonomics.

Skills in neuroscientific research methods and programming (e.g. Matlab, Python) are a plus,
specifically experience in applying EEG techniques (including ERPs, time-frequency analyses, ICA).
