Dear EEGLAB users,

I am planning to do an experiment of an 'oddball' paradigm , as a pilot test for the new EEG system in our lab. If anyone can give me some guidance on the following questions that will be really helpful and very much appreciated.

What is the usual practise used for the number of epochs to average to get the ERP? If we take , say three randomised runs of the oddball experiment for the same subject will averaging the extracted epochs from individual runs be valid for the ERP?

If anyone can direct me to some papers or references on experimental designs for ERP analysis that will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards
Imali
