[Eeglablist] EEG source & scalp pattern animation

The YouTube animation of the cortical activations and summed scalp
projections of two parietal sources with simulated oscillations at 9 Hz and
10 Hz respectively, embedded in the EEGLAB home page (sccn.ucsd.edu/eeglab),
is now also available for download there (via a link to the file at
sccn.ucsd.edu/eeglab/TwoSourceEEG12.mp4).

The animation convincingly shows the insufficiency of the naive
interpretation of EEG data as pouring up (as it were) from each scalp
electrode, and the problems in EEG interpretation posed by volume
conduction and summation of projected source activities at scalp EEG
electrodes.

We hope this animation may prove useful for talks and lectures on EEG data
collection and analysis.
