[Eeglablist] Dividing Scalp regions

Dear Simon:
Suppose that for the Frontal region we want to rearrange all electrodes in a
vector based on the criteria that if they are neighbor to each other. So,
for example electrode x1 is surrounded by x2,x3,x4,x5 in the 3D head
coordinates. But in proposed vector there are some alternatives : v=[ x2 x1
x3 x4 x5] OR v=[x3 x4 x1 x2 x5 ] OR ..... so, my question is which of these
vectors are optimal.
Best,
Iman

Dear Iman,
I am not sure if I understand your question correctly.. But if you simply
want to divide you electrodes into Frontal, Central, etc.
regions, then you can use the labels field in the EEG.chanlocs structure.
'Fz' e.g. means Frontal midline electrode etc. You can then search for all
electrodes with a label with the letter 'F' and put them in the "Frontal"
region. (this is the way we divide our region in the NBT toolbox
nbt_get_regions function
(http://nbtoolbox.hg.sourceforge.net/hgweb/nbtoolbox/NBTrelease/file/tip/Bio
markers/Supportfunctions/nbt_get_regions.m)
Best regards
Simon
