Assuming you recorded your raw files at ~1000Hz, try resampling to 320Hz,
Another option is to break up a single file into smaller lengths and then
add them all back together in a STUDY. Just be careful about labeling and
marking your sets correctly.
Lastly, it sounds like you're going through the GUI to do the initial
preprocessing... you should try scripting something out so you don't have
to go through the GUI and wait hours on end for things to load. Your
computer specs are fine and should handle a relatively large dataset easily
if you can get a script to set your hi and lo pass filters and resample for
you.
