Hello Joe,

If you decide to implement the segmentations in MATLAB yourself, you have the possibility of opening most of the Cartool output files into MATLAB to check its results with yours. Here is a link to a few MATLAB scripts and functions that can assist you with some of the file I/O.

Dear Iman,
Thank you for your response. I played around with Cartool for the last few days and found the software extremely useful. However, it would be great if there was a way to either export the segmentation to Matlab or run the AAHC algorithm directly in Matlab, because I would like to process the same data in different ways that depend on Matlab routines and compare the results.

Yours

Joe

Dear List,
I would like to compare EEG microstate analysis with some other methods. Does anyone know if there is an implementation in EEGLAB/Matlab based on 'atomize and agglomerate hierarchical clustering'? https://sites.google.com/site/fbmlab/cartool Thank you for your help!

Yours

Joe
