[Eeglablist] How to detect which electrode is broken?

Dear Mar,
We also have an active system, and we occasionally have the same problem. Here is how we identify a shorting electrode:
1. Plug all electrodes (including active electrodes) into amplifier, and place electrode tips into a cup of saline (1 tsp non-iodized salt per L filtered water).
2. Remove electrodes from the cup until the system stops shorting. If the system starts shorting again when an electrode is put back in the cup, that is the shorting electrode.
3. If the system is shorting with only the active electrodes in the cup, then there is a problem with either the active electrodes or the amplifier.
4. Rinse electrodes with filtered water.

We are using active electrodes and apparently one of them seems to be broken and generating a court circuit.
We would like to find out which one it is. Does anyone has any tips on how to proceed?
