Dear Iman,

oscillated at the same frequency and had the same temporal dynamics”

Without reading the paper sited, this is rather a severe condition. It is
not surprising that some method fails there.

According to brain's functional mapping principle, two separate cortical
areas should not really get activated together in perfect synch. We do use
that assumption when we use ICA (i.e. functional independence == temporal
independence of EEG source activities).
