Hello Keith,
The parameters you want to use for the preprocessing operations may vary
with the type of analysis you want to run and/or with the nature of your
data.
For general purpose, you could follow Makoto's advices (see here :
http://sccn.ucsd.edu/wiki/Makoto's_preprocessing_pipeline), but I strongly
recommend that you understand each step in order to adjust the parameters
to your needs.
