Technical Specialist / Programmer, Center for Mind & Brain, University of California-Davis
We are seeking a talented person at the BA/BS, MA/MS, or PhD level with excellent programming and EEG/ERP technical skills to work in the laboratory of Steve Our lab is deeply involved in using, developing, and promoting EEG/ERP methods. In addition to using ERPs in both basic science and clinical research (see http://mindbrain.ucdavis.edu/labs/luck-lab), our lab produces ERPLAB Toolbox, a Matlab-based ERP data analysis package (http://erpinfo.org/erplab), and we run the ERP Boot Camp, a yearly summer workshop on ERP methods (http://erpinfo.org/the-erp-bootcamp). We are seeking someone to take over the major programming responsibilities for ERPLAB Toolbox and to contribute to the conceptualization and design of the package as it continues to evolve. There may also be opportunities for involvement in the various EEG/ERP research and training activities in our laboratory.
The ideal candidate would have excellent English language communication skills, substantial research experience in EEG/ERP or related methods, and very substantial Matlab programming experience and skills. Salary and duties will be commensurate with education and experience. This position is open to both U.S. citizens and qualified people from other countries. The duration of the position will be a minimum of two years (after a probationary period), and this could be a long-term career position for the right person.
