[Eeglablist] question on FMRIB plugin to detect QRS events in ECG data

Dear Colleagues

I am trying to analyse some data to obtain a heartbeat evoked potential (HEP) and wondered if I could use the FMRIB plugin to detect heartbeat occurrences (QRS events) in my ECG channels. Has anyone used it for this purpose? I didn't record the EEG in a fMRI scanner so am only interested in the QRS detection part of the plugin. I wanted to know if the plugin is detecting the R-peak of the ECG or the Q- peak but can't find this information in the documentation and have been unable to contact the plugin's author.

I am also interested in people's experience of using ICA to remove cardiac field artefacts from EEG channels - has anyone found ICA to be effective for this purpose?
