[Eeglablist] Remove DC Offset ERPLAB Filter

Dear all,

We have collected EEG data using the Biosemi Active Two system and are trying to determine the best way to remove the DC offset. We’re looking at ERPs so don’t want to high-pass filter our data too aggressively.

After importing the .bdf files into EEGLAB we are considering filtering the data using the ERPLAB IIR Butterworth filter and ‘remove mean value (DC bias) before filtering’ option before continuing to analyse the data in EEGLAB. Are there any reasons why this wouldn’t be possible or advisable?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
