Intern - Brain Machine Interfaces
HRL Laboratories, LLC - Malibu, CA
Full-time, Internship
ASSIGNMENT DURATION: Summer 2017

SCHEDULED WORK WEEK HOURS: 40 Hours/Week

EDUCATION DESIRED: Undergraduate or Graduate level student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develop, implement, and evaluate machine learning algorithms for processing neural big data.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Coursework in neuroscience, signal processing, cognitive computing, statistical analysis, and/or machine learning.

KNOWLEDGE DESIRED: Knowledge and/or research experience in machine learning algorithms (including deep learning models), brain-machine interfaces, and EEG processing. Strong programming and development skills in C/C++ and Matlab

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.

Selected candidates will be hired through a temporary agency and subject to the agency's pre-employment substance abuse testing.
