Hi Eric,
you're probably better of just filtering once, unless you are
copying methods from a published article
or really understand how filtering and re-filtering impacts the data.
If you haven't had a chance to, check out recent papers from Andreas
Widman and others on the topic. Things also depend if your data has
events you want to make ERPs from or not.
