[Eeglablist] How can I know more about Epoch time range selection in plottting channel spectra and maps

When plotting channel spectrum for epoch data, an option is given to choose
EEG ERP or BOTH. If BOTH option is selected, and a time range is given in
the first line, is the time range only valid for the ERP? if it is valid
for EEG as well, How is a time range such as -1000 1000 interpreted in
terms of EEG which starts from 0s and continues?
