Hello Ruth, installation is really easy and usually works just fine. Just
follow the instructions on the eeglab website instructions for installation.

0. If you have not had a chance to yet, just google "eeglab installation"
and the first link should take you to the following page with the
basic/simple installation instructions.
https://sccn.ucsd.edu/eeglab/downloadtoolbox.php
There are also other links which essentially have the same informaiton that
google should give you.

Here's a little more suggestions in case following the steps at the link
above does not work for some reason.
1. Have a recent copy of eeglab downloaded and unzipped in a unique folder.
2. Have a fresh/default matlab path.(reset to default matlab path in matlab
set path gui).
3. Open the maltab set path gui. Add the eeglab folder (add folder, not
subfolders) to the matlab path. Save and close the matlab set path gui.
4. Type eeglab in the command line, and you should be good to go. This will
run the main eeglab matlab file that is a the top directory of the eeglab
folder.

If you're running into other issues, just go ahead and provide more
specifics.

ps. if you are having problem with setting/saving paths in matlab, you'll
need to figure that out on the matlab side (do you have permission to set
paths, etc..). You can also google for learning more about setting paths in
matlab, and problems setting paths in matlab.

pps. try everything with just the normal downloadable eeglab folder first
(instead of , for example, using the developmental version, etc..)
