Hi Katherine, make sure you are using the correct channel locations for the
appropriate EGI system (e.g., Hydrocel 128 with or without CZ/REF).
I believe that eeglab does not load the exactly correct files automatically
for EGI chan location. I think the CZ is the reference channel in EGI nets.
Use the eeglab gui to load the appropriate channel locations (eg, the 128
or 129 Hydrocel sfp file)
You can get the location files directly from EGI/Phillips support. You may
also find responses to previous similar questions by googling eeglablist.
I've included the text from GSN-Hydrocel-128.sfp and GSN-Hydrocel-129.sfp
right below in this email which you can save to a new SFP file and load
into eeglab (with no extra lines before or after. I think you can save as a
text file, does not need to be sfp format, eeglab should be able to read it
with no problem.
The two files are also attached to this email, but they may be scrubbed by
the eeglablist system.
If some issue remains, you may need to "create" the CZ.
Note that several packages out there, e.g., Brainstorm and MNE Python, also
have a full complement of chan location files from various eeg vendors.
