(http://lrnlab.org). We use a range of systems neuroscience techniques that include functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), structural MRI, diffusion imaging with single and multi-shell sequences, electromyography (EMG), posture and gait measures of motor function, virtual reality, and high-density electroencephalography (EEG). Incoming students will work on neuroimaging studies of motor and sensory function in movement disorders or chronic pain. Projects related to human and rodent imaging are ongoing, using the 3 Tesla Prisma for human studies, 11.1 Tesla and 17 Tesla for in vivo and ex vivo in mice. Tuition waiver and stipend support is available through fellowships and teaching assistantships in the department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology and T32 Training Grants in Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration and Rehabilitation and Neuromuscular Plasticity.
