Hello,
Thanks for all your contributions to the EEGLAB list. I'm new to EEGLAB so hope I'm not asking too obvious stuff. I've tried to check through the archive. This is my preprocessing pipeline at the moment:
1. Loading in 128 channel EGI data using pop_readegi
2. Using pop_select to select the time window between my first and last event
3. Using pop_resample to downsample to 250Hz
4. Using pop_eegfiltnew to bandpass filter (1-40Hz)
5. Using pop_eegfiltnew to notch filter line noise
6. Using clean_artifacts
7. Using pop_interp to interpolate removed channels
8. Using pop_reref to average reference
9. Using pop_epoch to select data for running ICA
10. Using pop_runica to run ICA
11. Using iclabel to label ICs
12. Using pop_subcomp to remove ocular components
When running clean_artifacts (step 6) I get the warning:
Warning: eeg_lat2point(): Points out of range detected. Points replaced with maximum value
I have seen something on the EEGLAB list from 2017 but couldn't see whether this had been resolved: https://sccn.ucsd.edu/pipermail/eeglablist/2017/013341.html
For some datasets, I also get the following warnings:
BUG 1971 WARNING: IF YOU ARE USING A SCRIPT WITTEN FOR A PREVIOUS VERSION OF EEGLAB (<2017)
TO CALL THIS FUNCTION, BECAUSE YOU ARE REJECTING THE ONSET OF THE DATA, EVENTS MIGHT HAVE
BEEN CORRUPTED. EVENT LATENCIES ARE NOW CORRECT (SEE https://sccn.ucsd.edu/wiki/EEGLAB_bug1971);
Warning: Discrepency when recomputing event latency.
Try to reproduce the problem and send us your dataset
> In eeg_eegrej (line 173)
Warning: Inconsistency in boundary event duration.
Try to reproduce the problem and send us your dataset
> In eeg_eegrej (line 188)
I'm using the most recent version of EEGLAB, with MATLAB 2019b, using command line functions (not the GUI) and version 2.2 for clean_rawdata (see below). I had a suggestion from Arno to try the development version - I have tried this and still get the same errors, but I really am not familiar with GitHub so there's a chance I haven't installed it properly.
It would be great if you could let me know if I need to worry about these warnings or not.
Thanks in advance, and best wishes,
Cathy
