[Eeglablist] Epoch Extraction Timing

Hello List,

I have 6 second events which I will extract and do FFT with.

Would epochs of length -1 to 7 seconds be too large?

These are most likely event-related spectral perturbations (ERSP) because I want to know the alpha activity during stimulus presentation.  Would timenewf or newf functions be most appropriate for this time frequency analysis?

I believe spectopo may be more appropriate for resting state EEG, but I am unsure.
