Research Assistant Position

The Department of Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant on an NIH-funded project investigating chemotherapy-induced cognitive deficits in childhood survivors of leukemia.

A highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills is required. Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with ERP research and/or psychophysiological measures, and basic programming skills (e.g., Matlab, Python) are a big plus. This is a two-year position, with renewal dependent upon continuation of funding.
Primary responsibilities include:

*         Recruitment and screening of participants into study and maintaining records and IRB compliance.

*         Set up and organize lab equipment and supplies and perform sound and system calibrations.

*         Collect data for behavioral and EEG experiments

*         Post-processing of EEG and behavioral data for analyses

*         Data management, quality control, and recording keeping, including creating graphs, figures, and tables.
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree plus 0-2 years' experience is required. Background in psychology or cognitive neuroscience preferred.
