Postdoctoral Position in Social Cognition and Behavior (f/m/d)

This position should be filled by May 1st, 2022. The position is full-time (currently 39,8 hours per week) with an initially time-limited contract of 4 years. An extension is possible.
The salary will be according to pay grade 13 TV-L.

The Affective Neuroscience and Psychophysiology Laboratory (ANaPLab), led by Prof. Dr. Annekathrin Schacht, mainly focuses on cognition, emotion and behavior and their modulations by social context and individual aspects. The ANaPLab investigates a variety of domains, including perception, language, face cognition, learning, and judgment and decision making by combining established behavioral paradigms with a variety of measures, including electrophysiology, peripheral psychophysiology, and neuroendocrinology.

The postdoctoral researcher will work in a highly motivated international team and will have room for personal research interests within the general scope of the lab. Candidates must possess a strong research interest in human perception and cognition in the context of social interactions. In addition to research, duties will include teaching courses (4 hrs/week) as defined in Section 31 of the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (NHG) and supervising students (BSc, MSc and PhD).

Ideal candidates should have a PhD in Psychology, Systems Neuroscience, or a closely related field, and should document their research experience with publications in peer-reviewed journals. We are looking for a passionate researcher with strong skills in measuring and analyzing psychophysiological data, a strong interest in cognitive science and systems neuroscience and excellent programming skills. Excellent spoken and written English is required; good command of German is recommended.
