Thank you for your message!

I will be in the UAE from May 2 through June 13 conducting research with the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research.

I will be checking and responding to email daily but will be 9 hours ahead of central time, so please be patient.

Thank you.

Dear Franzi,

Do the resulting variables W and S correspond to the ICA weights and
sphere that would normally have been saved as output of the runamica15
function?

Yes.

There is a potential technical issue there. If you learn about it, please
read this article.

If you do not understand what it means, save the data after ICA, then load
it, then continue to process the data.

Dear all,

I used the AMICA plugin (runamica15) for preprocessing EEG data. Although
the AMICA seemed to work for all participants (I got the direct AMICA
output and no error messages), by chance my script did not save the
EEG-file with the ICA Information (weights, sphere) for some participants.
Now I am trying to extract the weights and sphere from the AMICA output. I
used loadmodout15 to load the direct AMICA output. Do the resulting
variables W and S correspond to the ICA weights and sphere that would
normally have been saved as output of the runamica15 function?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,
Franzi
