*Research Assistant I (holding the functional title of Laboratory Manager)
in the Faculty of Education *(Ref.: 515775) (to commence as soon as
possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal, subject to funding
availability and satisfactory performance)

The Laboratory of Neuroscience for Education (NfE Lab) in the Faculty of
Education is a neuroscience laboratory that employs neuroscientific
research methods to understand brain functions and cognitive system and
principles, with the aim to further advance innovative research in
education-related disciplines and support activities related to learning
and teaching.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with
a strong technological and scientific background. Hands-on experience in
using neurotechnology and in neuroscience research, working experience in
neuroscience laboratories, and/or a Master’s degree in neuroscience,
psychology, engineering or biology, would be definite advantages.  They
should have a good command of English and Chinese, and good communication
and organisational skills. They should also be able to work independently
as well as in a team.

The appointee will assist in the lab’s daily operations, maintenance, and
development, completing administrative duties in the lab’s day-to-day
operations, managing the lab facilities, organising user training and
educational activities, working on developmental projects of the lab, and
perform other duties as assigned.
