The project aims at studying the plasticity of neural networks underlying predictive processes in the context of human perception. It will make use of different and complementary non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS) approaches that have the potential to modulate the precision of sensory sampling, as well as the learning and exploitation of statistical regularities (i.e. the ability to generate predictive models).

The project entails a close collaboration with the laboratory of Prof. Vincenzo Romei at the University of Bologna, and with the laboratory of Dr. Luca Battaglini and Prof. Marco Bertamini at University of Padova.

The ideal candidate has (or is about to obtain) a PhD in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field, and experience in using electroencephalography (EEG) and transcranial electrical stimulation (tES: e.g. tACS, tDCS, tRNS or other non-invasive brain stimulation techniques) in humans. Expertise in analyzing multidimensional data (EEG, behavioral, etc.) is also required.
