I am attempting to load an EEG folder/file set.

I have provided a list of the file extensions of the file/folder list as
well as the full text of the errors.

——

ERROR:

"

EEGLAB error in function loadeeg() at line 141:

Unable to perform assignment because the left and right sides have a
different number of elements.

"

——

File extensions in single eeg folder:

   - .eeg
   - .erg (2 files)
   - .ent
   - .epo
   - .etc
   - .snc
   - .stc
   - .vt2
   - .vtc
   - .avi (30 files)

Please let me know if I am missing something.

Steps to generate the error:

1) Download and install EEGLAB compiled.

https://sccn.ucsd.edu/eeglab/download.php

2) Open via shortcut on desktop.

3) Click on <File>

  <Import Data>

  <Using EEGLAB functions and plugins>

  <From Neuroscan .EEG file>

This opens the "Choose an EEG file -- pop-loadeeg()" window.

4) Browse to and select my .EEG file.

5) Click <Open>

This opens the "Load an EEG dataset" window.

'Auto' is the only value set for "Data precision in bits" text box.

The other text boxes are blank.

6) Click <OK>

The cmd window displays many lines with some values: baseline: 29812
sensitivity: 267780708920287297636.000 calibration: 259611

for example.

"EEGLAB error" window pops up.

"EEGLAB error in function loadeeg() at line 141:

Unable to perform assignment because the left and right sides have a
different number of elements."

7) Click <Ok> on error pop-up.

8) Click <File> <Import Data> <Using the FILE-IO interface>

** I have tried with both Folder and File (selecting the specific .eeg
file. Same error result. **

After much trial and error, I attempted to create a set from the files I
have, which did open with a much older version previously.

After attempting to add the .eeg file, I noticed an error in the cmd prompt
window, which was not previously displayed when I was using the other
methods.

"

Converting file to EEGLAB format...

Error using eeg_import

.eeg files not from BrainVision are currently not supported.

Error in pop_studywizard (line 364)

Error while evaluating UIControl Callback.

"

I'm not sure if that is useful information or not.

Then I downloaded the zip version from the full EEGLAB from your download
site.

After starting the MATLAB I downloaded today from the actual web site and
browsing to the EEGLAB directory, I typed "EEGLAB" and the application
loaded.

In the EEGLAB window, I again attempted using FILE-IO.

The app prompted me that FILE-IO needed to download, which I clicked Ok,
the app installed FILE-IO, and then I selected the .eeg folder and clicked
Ok.

Now I have a different message:

"EEGLAB error in function ft_notification() at line 74:

Unrecognized function or variable 'ft_version'.

This is a problem with FIELDTRIP.

The Fieldtrip version you downloaded is corrupt.

Please manually replace Fieldtrip with an earlier version and/or email the
Fieldtrip developers..."

Please help.

Axel
