[Eeglablist] EEG lab setup: online vs offline acquisition and stimulus PCs

Dear all,
Our lab is setting up two new desktops for an EEG lab (BioSemi ActiveTwo) and we would really appreciate opinions on best practice regarding network connectivity.
Specifically, I’m wondering whether you would recommend keeping the following machines online or offline:

  1.
EEG acquisition computer
  2.
Stimulus computer (running a Psychtoolbox experiment)

If you do keep either machine on the network, do you disable network access during recordings?
