Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce this year's Bergen fMRI fall course 'Mining Brain
Dynamics 2' with Vince Calhoun and Stefan Debener. The course will take
place August 31st and September 1st 2009 in Bergen, Norway.

This course will give a broad overview of multivariate data mining with
independent component analysis (ICA) in neuroscience, in particular
applications for hemodynamic (fMRI) and electrophysiologic (EEG/ERP) imaging
data. Lectures will cover blind source separation theory, interpretation and
functional significance of IC's from hemodynamics and electrophysiology,
connectivity analysis, single trial analysis of event related EEG and fMRI
data, multimodal integration of structural and functional MRI, EEG and
fMRI, as well as genetic (SNP) and imaging data. Analyses with the
<http://www.mathworks.com/> MATLAB toolboxes GIFT, EEGIFT, FNC, FIT and
<http://sccn.ucsd.edu/eeglab/> EEGLAB will be demonstrated.

The course is arranged by the Bergen fMRI Group / National Competence Center
in fMRI, with funding from the University of Bergen. The course is limited
to 40 participants.

Further information about the program, registration and venue can be found
at <http://fmri.uib.no/?p=38> http://fmri.uib.no/?p=38

Best wishes,

Tom
