Dear Michel,

yes, we have heard about this technique. It is looking at phase stability across time in single trials. What you propose (extracting overlapping epochs) indeed seems like a possible workaround.

We were also discussing with Jean Philippe Lachaux and Eugenio Rodriguez to include their Matlab scripts into EEGLAB as a plugin a few years ago but none of us could find the time to make it happen. If you would be interested, I guess this could be revived.
