Dear all,

Using the newtimef function to compare different datasets, I realized that
the results of one dataset were not constant when compared with various
datasets.

For example, I obtained different plots (and different values within the
output variable) for *dataset1* in the three cases below:

    *erps1=newtimef( {dataset1  dataset2}*, 1160, [-200  599], 1450, 0,
'topovec', 27, 'elocs', dataset1.chanlocs, 'chaninfo', dataset1.chaninfo,...
        'baseline',[-200 0], 'plotphase', 'off', 'padratio', 1,'freqs',[8
50],...
        'erspmax',3,'itcmax',1,'erplim',[-20 20],'itcavglim',[0
0.6],'speclim',[-15 5],'erspmarglim',[-5 6],...
        'alpha', 0.05);

    *erps2=newtimef( {dataset1  dataset3}*, 1160, [-200  599], 1450, 0,
'topovec', 27, 'elocs', dataset1.chanlocs, 'chaninfo', dataset1.chaninfo,...
        'baseline',[-200 0], 'plotphase', 'off', 'padratio', 1,'freqs',[8
50],...
        'erspmax',3,'itcmax',1,'erplim',[-20 20],'itcavglim',[0
0.6],'speclim',[-15 5],'erspmarglim',[-5 6],...
        'alpha', 0.05);

    *erps3=newtimef(dataset1*, 1160, [-200  599], 1450, 0, 'topovec', 27,
'elocs', dataset1.chanlocs, 'chaninfo', dataset1.chaninfo,...
        'baseline',[-200 0], 'plotphase', 'off', 'padratio', 1,'freqs',[8
50],...
        'erspmax',3,'itcmax',1,'erplim',[-20 20],'itcavglim',[0
0.6],'speclim',[-15 5],'erspmarglim',[-5 6],...
        'alpha', 0.05);

I there any reason for that?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Best regards,

Marine
