we are happy to announce that our journal  Socioaffective Neuroscience and
Psychology (SNP)

to remove publication fees for 2013. Please do not hesitate to
submit your work for consideration in SNP:

Aims and Scope

Socioaffective Neuroscience & Psychology is a peer reviewed open access
journal that aims to stimulate multidisciplinary research into the central
nervous system and its complex relationship with the surrounding social
environment. Spurred by significant methodological and theoretical advances
in cognitive and developmental neurosciences over the past two decades, two
particular fields have emerged: (i) social neuroscience focusing on the
role of the brain in processing social information, and (ii) affective
neuroscience focusing on the role of the brain and how it reacts to
emotionally, motivationally and other affectively related inputs. Several
interesting topics are now appearing as these two fields begin to overlap,
for example the question of the neural processing of emotional information
conveyed by congeners, and the role of the brain in functional contexts
involving dyadic interactions. In particular, during the last years,
developmental research has allowed us to better understand psychological
and neural processes involved in early social interactions.

In order to stimulate and articulate a dialogue between those disciplines
that engage in research where social and affective neuroscience are
beginning to converge – human and animal neurosciences and developmental
neurosciences, clinical neuroscience, psychoanalysis, psychology and
developmental psychology, philosophy etc. – Socioaffective Neuroscience &
Psychologyprovides a forum for publication of (i) original research papers
in all areas of social and affective neurosciences that may further our
knowledge about the involvement of the central nervous system as it
interacts with the surrounding environment, (ii) reviews and synthesis
papers providing state-of-the-art overviews of experimental and theoretical
research from different disciplines on a specific topic; and (iii) dialogue
or opinion papers by and/or between researchers from different fields
leading to the development of new theoretical frameworks.
