Forwarding the message below from Barry Van Veen. Signal processing is a
specific skill and knowledge base important for EEG imaging research but
(too) rarely provided to students outside of engineering departments.
Thanks to Barry for offering it.

Dear Colleagues,
I've created a YouTube channel containing Khan Academy style mini lectures
(< 15 mins ea) on signal processing:
http://www.youtube.com/user/allsignalprocessing I believe they will be of
value to people working in MEG [or EEG -sm], especially those without
formal training in signal processing.
Last fall I taught the senior-level signal processing class at the
University of Wisconsin and developed these videos in place of lecturing in
the class - students watched these before class, and during class time we
worked problems. So the YouTube channel has more than 70 videos spanning
sampling, the DFT, filter design, the z-transform, and an intro to 2-D
signal processing. They require relatively little background beyond
calculus - although previous exposure to Fourier transforms is helpful. I
am adding content this spring from another course that will include a bid
of random processes, time series modeling, wavelets, etc.
The channel is organized topically in playlists and the sidebar for each
playlist lists the other playlists containing background material.
My hope is that it serves as a useful resource for the community. Please
feel free to pass it on to anyone you think might find it helpful.
Best regards,
Barry
