Dear Makoto and EEGLabers,

I have tried ERPIMAGE using STUDY. But I could not get the Reaction Time Graph overlaid on the group level ERPIMAGE. Do you have any thought?

Iman

Dear Iman,

It seems there is no detailed document for study_erpimage yet. However, you can learn the basic concept of erpimage at http://sccn.ucsd.edu/wiki/Chapter_08:_Plotting_ERP_images.

Performing group-level comparisons and statistics can be done by using STUDY.design. When you create your STUDY, include group in one of two experimental conditions.

I don't know much about erpimage statistics, but I guess it should work just as stats for ersp and itc works (across conditions).

When you precompute erpimage, the number of lines should be less than the smallest number of trials available per a condition... you have to be careful about it. Actually there could be a function that automatically computes the upper bound of the number of lines and suggests it.

Hi Arno and EEGLABers,

As per my last email about doing erpimage in group level , I just wonder if there is any document or example that shows how shall I do that ? Also, I would like to know more about the description like how different number of trails in each condition are interpolated and how statistical test are done over those data.

I would be appreciative if you kindly back to me by your comments and thoughts!

Best,

Iman

Dear Iman,

To make it short, the method we use is to compute ERPimage in each subject and interpolate the number of trials so all ERPimage have the same number of lines. There is no normalization by default.

We then perform statistics across subjects as we do for time-frequency images (ERSP). We are preparing a detailed description of this method.

Best,

Arno

Hello,

Thanks for your reply,Arno!

1- What statistical method is used in STUDY to do btw group or within group analysis ? how can it differentiate to erpimage from two different conditions ?

2- how does it normalize the data for each subject to have a grand erpimage ?

3- Are you aware of any publication using grand erpimage ?

Is it possible to send me the link to access the method in detail? I cannot find on the EEGLAB website

Best,

Iman

Dear Iman,

you can do different types of ERPimage group analysis in STUDY in EEGLAB 12.

1- Does anybody have any idea how can one normalize erpImage to compare erpimages between two or more conditions or subjects who may have different number of trials ?

2- Any idea for having erp-Image with Reaction Time graph on it at the group level?
