[Eeglablist] EEG recording equipment influence on quality of recording - in literature

Dear list,
I was wondering if someone of you is familiar with the literature that
treats EEG recording equipment and its parameters that are minimizing
outside artifacts...
For example, it is possible that whole scalp is moving in the rhythm of
breathing. If the frequency of my interest is breathing frequency it is
logical not to remove it by filters etc, but if every electrode is "moving"
in the breathing frequency, than it becomes more complicated...
Also, averaging the reference does not give very good results since all
other artefacts then spread through all channels.
So any literature that gives some overview of how equipment design (for
example input impedance of the amplifier) affects the quality of
recordings, is very welcome.
Thank you very much
Ida
