[Eeglablist] Why is eeglablist a mailing list and not an internet forum?

Hi,

I'm wondering why, in 2014, eeglablist is a mailing list and not an
internet forum.

If it were an internet forum, it would be easier to search for threads that
have already covered your question, it would be easier to keep track of old
threads that you have participated in, and you could categorise the threads
in some useful way.

Maybe there is a benefit of keeping this as a mailing list (?), but it just
seems antiquated to me.
