[Eeglablist] Clarifying

Dear all:I am a Master student. I have an EEG data, and my work is related to detecting eye blinking. I got data from professor which is 3D matrix (n channels X samples X trails). Each trail is centered on a blink from 1.5 sec before to 1.5 after it.  However, I did not understand what sampling mean? Is it time?. Is there any websites that clarifying that?Also, what that the sampling rate 250 Hz means? and how it is related to data points? Thank you in advance Marwa
